These skin care products originate in an artisan approach to beauty. In his brand manifesto, Josh Rosebrook writes of his mission to offer specialty and curated products that are a step above mass-manufactured beauty formulas. Using ingredients that are biologically attuned to the skin and what it needs to stay vibrant, healthy and glowing, all of Josh Rosebrook’s products are designed to work with the body’s natural healing processes.
Laurel
Raw, organic, handcrafted and farm-sourced – that’s what Laurel, a beauty brand with a passion for living and loving local, believes all skincare should be. The brand uses pure flowers and herbs as the basis for its products, which contain no alcohol, parabens, GMO ingredients, etc. Furthermore, instead of water, the brand uses hydrosols – infusions that capture the medicinal essences of plants – as a base for their formulas. This 100% natural branded was founded by “mom on a mission” Andrea Pierce-Naymon when her teenage daughter became ill with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). In her quest to discover how to help her child, Pierce-Naymon’s research led her to realize the sheer glut of toxic ingredients in household products, including beauty brands. She decided to create her own body-safe, toxin-free line, proceeds from which go to research towards curing POTS.

When Elena Brower visited Italy, she was immediately captivated by the sensual landscape she found herself immersed in. A Sicilian almond oil’s heavenly scent inspired her to form her own fragrance line using only the purest ingredients available. Together with Alexandra Lyon Perelman, Brower creates simple yet enchanting scents that are not only eco-conscious but also community-conscious: A portion of sales from each bottle of GIVESCENT goes to non-profit organizations (Every Mother Counts and Women for Women International) that empower women around the world.
