Eyebrow sugaring is a hair-removal service that uses sugar paste to remove unwanted brow hair and refine your shape. At Green City Beauty in Cherry Hill, it is an all-natural alternative to eyebrow waxing, guided by a simple priority: the skin beneath your brows matters just as much as the finished shape.
As summer gives way to fall, some beauty routines change. Your brows, though, tend to stay on the calendar. Whether you prefer a soft cleanup or a more defined shape, brow sugaring can be an approachable place to discover what makes our method different.
A familiar service with a different technique
If you already get your eyebrows waxed, you do not need a completely new beauty routine to explore sugaring. You are still coming in to shape your brows. What changes is how we remove the hair and the care surrounding that process.
People sometimes call it sugar waxing, but Green City Beauty practices true sugaring. Our technique uses a fresh ball of sugar paste and a controlled hand motion to remove hair in its natural direction of growth. The method, along with preparation and aftercare, is central to the service.
We welcome the comparison with waxing because it starts a useful conversation and opportunity for us to review all the wonderful benefits of sugaring. On top of that, questions like; What did you like about your last brow appointment? What would you change? Your answers help us to deliver the results you’re seeking.
Your brows do not need an off season
Many clients maintain their brows year-round, which makes brow sugaring a natural fit for a regular routine.
It can also be a comfortable first step if you are curious about sugaring but not ready to book a bikini or Brazilian service. You can get to know our studio, ask questions, and experience a familiar service through a different approach. After experiencing sugaring hair removal, clients often wish they had found it sooner!
Start with the shape you actually want
Natural-looking brows mean different things to different people. You might want to preserve fullness, tidy the edges, or work toward a shape you have been growing back. Bring a reference photo if it helps, but we do a full consultation with all new clients to fully understand the shape you desire.
Mention any areas you want left alone. A simple request such as keeping the front full or preserving the tail is valuable information. We want the conversation about shape to happen before hair is removed, not while you are looking in the mirror afterward.
If you have been over-tweezing or are trying to change your shape, ask us before doing another cleanup at home. We can talk through what to leave for your appointment.
Tell us about your skincare too
Brow preparation is not only about hair. Tell us about recent irritation, past reactions, facial treatments, and the products or prescriptions you use around the area. The American Academy of Dermatology specifically flags retinoids and sunburn as important considerations for waxing; do not assume a switch to sugaring makes those details irrelevant.
Contact us before your appointment if you are unsure whether a product or treatment matters. Do not stop a prescribed medication on your own to prepare for a beauty service. We can discuss the service, and your prescribing clinician can advise on your treatment.
Founder led care at every appointment
Green City Beauty founder Ashley Richardson is a certified sugaring educator who personally trains every practitioner on our team. That connection matters to us: our approach is something we teach and practice, not simply a phrase on the website.
We want you to understand your service and leave knowing how to care for the area afterward. Ask about maintenance based on your own regrowth and preferred shape. Your brow routine should suit you, rather than requiring you to fit a preset idea of what everyone’s brows should look like.
Common questions
Is eyebrow sugaring the same as eyebrow waxing
No. Both remove unwanted hair, but the materials and technique differ. Green City Beauty uses sugar paste and removes hair in its direction of growth. Sugar waxing is a phrase people often use when searching for sugaring, but true sugaring is a more natural and much more gentle technique for the skin.
Can I keep my eyebrows full
Yes, preserving fullness can be the goal of your appointment. Explain which areas you want cleaned up and which you want left alone before the service begins. We always default to the “more natural, the better” approach.
Should I book if my brow area is irritated
Contact us first. We would rather discuss what is happening and whether to postpone than assume hair removal is appropriate for irritated skin.
