No matter where you are in life, there’s a story behind how you got there. At Green City Beauty, we’re proud of our journey, which began with one woman’s quest for better skin care options and has led us to being of the most recognized salons for all-natural skin care in Philadelphia.
Next month, we’re beginning the latest chapter in our story: Green City Beauty is moving to a brand-new flagship location! We’ll release the exact address very soon, but for now, we can tell you that it’s right around the corner from our current one–just bigger and better.
How We Started
It’s fair to say that our story actually starts with the origin of sugaring and organic skincare, both of which are ancient arts, used by millions of men and women long before Green City Beauty came into being. Despite experiencing a lull in popularity, natural beauty has experienced a serious resurgence, in part thanks to salons like us.
Our founder, Ashley Richardson, wanted to heal her own skin issues and was frustrated with the available options. Her quest to solve those skincare woes from the inside out led her to the world of esthetics and set her on the journey towards opening Green City, which quickly became the go-to spot for all-natural waxing alternatives in Philadelphia.
Our Evolution
Over the years, we’ve expanded our services to include more organic skincare treatments and to also offer beauty products to our customers. Each product we sell in-store utilizes organic, natural, or wild-crafted ingredients including our proprietary line of all-natural bath soaps.
Our name Green City Beauty reflects our mission and philosophy of offering holistic beauty services and we’re proud to be part of the “best” with our recent Best of Philly 2016 award recognizing the love that clients have for our fresh take on natural beauty.
Next Steps
In a few weeks, we’ll officially move to a brand-new Center City location that’s better-equipped to fit our growing salon. Plus, in addition to the services our Philadelphia clients know and love (like our all-natural waxing alternative, sugaring), we’ll feature a full green beauty boutique on-site so you can customized your beauty routine and keep your glow going at home as well as in the salon.
